This vintage Susan Small skirt ensemble is such a graphic statement that can be worn a variety of ways. Susan Small was a British luxury women's brand founded in the early 1940s. The head designer from 1943 on was Maureen Baker, who designed Princess Anne’s wedding dress (and later left to establish her own brand under the patronage of Princess Anne). Susan Small also had licensing rights to produce some  Christian Dior designs in the U.K. Made in the late 1960s/ early 1970s, this set consists of a full circle-skirt in a full maxi length, and a blouse with an oversized collar, and balloon sleeves that taper with an extra-wide cuff. The blouse buttons with jeweled buttons, both down the front and at the cuffs. The blouse looks great both worn tucked or untucked, and there are many ways you can play with opening the buttons. Further, each of these pieces are beautiful on their own and can be mixed with other separate— image the blouse with a great pair of jeans, or the skirt with a slink little cropped top. Making the skirt extra special is the fact that it has pockets!
