Measurements & Sizing

Please pay attention to the measurements listed in each description, as all sales are final. 

All measurements are taken from the garment laid flat. In some cases, especially when the fabric stretches, a range will be given, including the measurement laid flat, and the measurement with the fabric pulled taut. See guidelines listed below.

Vintage and antique clothing often does not have a size tag. In many cases, vintage clothing is labeled with a size that doesn't correspond to modern expectations. I recommend comparing measurements of a similar article of clothing that fits you well in order to get a better idea of sizing.

• Shoulder: Generally reflects the measurement between shoulder seams, unless otherwise noted
• Length: From shoulder to hem, unless otherwise noted
• Chest: Measurement from armpit to armpit
• Waist: From natural waist, unless otherwise specified (such an empire waist, drop waist, etc.)
• Hips: Refers to the low hip (as opposed to high hip) generally taken 8” down from the natural waist, which can vary somewhat depending on the proportions of the garment. Please inquire if you are unsure.
