Made by Vendome in the 1950s/early 1960s, these vintage earrings are incredibly unique and unusual. Vendome is well known for the costume jewelry of incredible quality, from the 1940s through the 1960s. Vendome started as a subsidiary of the famed Coro jewelry brand, and their pieces are highly collectible. These earrings feature a cushion-shaped center, formed by threads of black silk, punctuated with a finial in the center. The crystal halo is also eye-catchingly distinct, featuring larger beads banded with tiny crystals. The combination of light-reflecting stones and glass, contrasted by the black, creates a gorgeous sparkle. They are signed "Vendome" and close with aa clip-on lever back— vintage clip-ons are so much more comfortable and secure to wear compared to their modern counterparts, largely due to the quality and thought that went into their hand-made construction. Measures about 3 cm diameter.
