This one-of-a-kind vintage calico maxidress draws inspiration from Victorian fashion, and the result is romantic perfection. In the late 1960s and 1970s, designers like Gunne Sax borrowed heavily from Victorian silhouettes, igniting an entire aesthetic that went on to define the style of an era. From the high lace mockneck to the sleeves puffed at the shoulder and tapered at the cuff, this dress celebrates all the best aspects of 19th century fashion. It is crafted of a dainty calico print cotton, in an autumnal palette of brown, orange, and white, with a sheer lace inset at the chest, and lace trim at the cuffs and neck. The empire waist silhouette is fitted through the natural waist, and flares out into an A-line skirt. This dress would also be so adorable cut short to be a mini! It closes in the back with a zipper and hooks at the neck, with hidden zippers at the cuff making it easy to get on.
Measurements: Will work best on a size X-Small or Small; it is more narrow through the shoulders and sleeves, but is quite forgiving from the waist down. Please refer to below measurements to ensure a proper fit.
