Antique 1880s Victorian Lace-Inset Chemise With Hand-Embroidered Broderie Anglaise
Antique 1880s Victorian Lace-Inset Chemise With Hand-Embroidered Broderie Anglaise
This dreamy Victorian corset cover was made in the 1880s. I love seeing the work and craftsmanship that went into antique clothing— it's truly a work of art, and the fact that it exists today in beautiful, wearable condition is a wonder. It features pintucks throughout, but to create shape and ornamentation. Running alongside the V-neck pintucks, are lace inserts which continue on the straps. The scalloped hem features broderie anglaise hand-embroidery. The back neck is complete with a lace ruffle. There are a few different ways you could style this— it's such a special, one-of-a-kind piece, and would make for an amazing bridal look. It could be worn layered overtop of something as well.
The Antique Edwardian Swiss Dot Skirt, Vintage Earrings, and Vintage Ribbon Choker pictured are also available.

Overall it's in great antique condition; note that these antique pieces are not without their imperfections, as this piece is nearly 150 years old. All flaws are minor, not very noticeable, and do not detract from the beauty or wearability of the piece, which presents wonderfully. (There are some minor pinholes, very faint discoloration in one area, and tiny bits of seam separation.) With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
