Antique Late Victorian Handmade Battenburg Lace Bodice
Antique Late Victorian Handmade Battenburg Lace Bodice
This incredible antique Victorian bodice is crafted of Battenburg lace and completely made by hand, in the late 19th century— it's really remarkable to see all the details in person. I love antique clothing because you will never find a modern piece with this workmanship and attention to detail. It features a silhouette typical of the late 19th and very early 20th century, with a basque-shaped waistline that comes to a point in the front, and is much shorter in the back. It closes with hidden hooks and eyes in the back.
The Designer Vintage Satin Column Skirt and Vintage Diamanté Earrings pictured are also available.
Great antique condition; it's remarkable to find pieces of this age at all, let alone ones in such beautiful wearable condition. But note, that these antique pieces are not perfect. Of note, there is some very faint discoloration at one underarm (not visible when worn) and some slight seam separation at back near hooks. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
