Antique Victorian Corset-Cover Top With Irish Lace Trim
Antique Victorian Corset-Cover Top With Irish Lace Trim
This antique Victorian ivory corset cover is a beautiful example of it's kind. It's complete with Irish crochet lace trim— It's really remarkable to think that all this work was done by hand in such a personal way. This lace detail reminds me of sunflowers, with so many intricate details and ribbon interwoven. The waist has light elastic, and a hidden hook to fasten, as well as a hook at the chest. I love the way the lace neckline falls.
The Vintage 1950s Tiered Petticoat Skirt, Antique Edwardian Swiss Dot Skirt, and Vintage Earrings pictured are also available.
Measurements: This will best fit a modern size X-Small and Small but please refer to below measurements.

Overall it's in great antique condition for its age; note that these antique pieces are not without their imperfections, as this piece is about 150 years old. There are some areas in the open crochet lace when the pattern gets to the corner and it almost looks like a gap in the crochet, but I think it was designed to be open like that on the corners in some cases because it's uniform to both sides. There is one single pin-hole sized speck on the back.
