Made-in-Italy meets All American in this iconic stars and stripes knit, which belongs on a boat somewhere. It features a classic bateau neckline with button details, and a relaxed fit, with dropped shoulders and armholes that become more witted towards the waist to keep it flattering. The star appliqué is on a separate piece of knit. It was made in Italy, of a lightweight, high quality Italian wool blend.
Measurements: This will likely fit a size X-Small, Small, and Medium depending on desired fit but please refer to the below measurements to be sure. Note that the knit naturally stretches.
Chest: Flexible because of the dropped armholes; Armpit to armpit is 30" laid flat, up to 35" comfortably stretched
Waist: about 29" laid flat, up to about 34" stretched
Bottom opening: 29" laid flat
Sleeves: 21.5"
Length: 20" from shoulder to hem
Armhole drop: just shy of 10"
Good vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age. The original retail tags are still attached so it was never worn, but there are some tiny spots of discoloration which are not noticeable when worn. There were some repairs made to the knit in places, and one small snag near the hem.
