This stunning vintage 1930s opera coat is crafted from lush chocolate brown velvet, complete with a golden clasp at the neck, in an Art Deco swirl motif. The clasp at the neck is the only closure— this leaves flexibility in fit/sizing, but also allows you to reveal the fabulous outfit you're wearing underneath, making this opera coat really become part of the look, as opposed to an after-thought. I love how the shaping seams at the shoulders and neckline become part of the design in an almost decorative way, like an Art Deco pattern. It's lined in ecru satin, and there is a name written inside.
