Vintage 1940s Beaded Dress with Tiered Flounce Skirt

This rare vintage 1940s beaded dress is the epitome of Old Hollywood Glamour, covered in the most gorgeous embellishment, in an incredibly intricate swirling motif. Circa very late 1930s/early 1940s— I love the way that this blend the best elements of each decade. The fit is just insanely perfect and flattering— they simply do not make dresses like this anymore. The bodice is fitted, with incredibly flattering gathering at the chest creating an hourglass shape, with a yoke waist creating the tiny waistline of that hourglass. The skirt features asymmetrical bias-cut tiered flounces— the asymmetrical diagonal cut creates length, making you appear taller and leaner, while the bias cut offers that soft flutter that we so love in 1930s dresses. It closes with a side zipper. This dress is bra friendly!

Measurements: Keep in mind that because of the bias cut and the way this is constructed, this dress will appear fitted and skim the body without being "skin tight." Also keep in mind it closes with the side zipper and goes on overhead. I believe it will best fit a size Small; shown on a size X-Small and it definitely still works— could possibly fit up to a Medium. Please refer to below measurements to be sure.

Great vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age.
