This vintage 1940s lace-inset seersucker dress features so many unique design details, for a finished look that feels very much borrowed from a Karl Lagerfeld Chanel collection. The fit is really amazing– with the contrasting white collar and almost blousy bodice, it almost give the feeling of a skirt and top. It’s defined at the natural waist, and fitted through the hips, while the skirt releases further down, creating almost an exaggerated dropwaist look. The seersucker fabric is highly unique, with confetti dots and embossed checkered texture— it naturally stretches, which contributes to the amazing fit. There are gorgeous lace insets throughout. Below the waist at center back, there is a zip closure, with hidden snaps, hooks, and buttons at the back above the waist.
