This vintage 1950s silk satin shirtwaist dress is incredible: it's from the late 1940s but feels so incredibly relevant— a style that has inspired countless designers from Thierry Mugler to John Galliano. It's crafted from a luminous silk satin, with custom buttons that are so special, set with crystal details. The lace-up details call to mind Tom Ford-era Gucci designs from the late 90s that were inspired by pieces like this. This 3/4 length sleeves have French cuffs that show off the gorgeous custom buttons, which are like a piece of jewelry— you can also scrunch the sleeves up a bit for a more relaxed look. This dress looks amazing dressed up, or worn more casually— with boots, tights, flats, heels, or anything else you can imagine.
