For all the Queens: this crown feature lush glass jade stones, surrounded by red and colorless glass accent stones, set in sterling silver. It was made by Trifari in the late 1940s/early 1950s, one of the most prolific US designers of costume jewelry. What sets Trifari apart from other costume jewelry is the quality, bringing a level of craftsmanship to costume jewelry that is usually reserved for fine jewelry. These techniques can be attributed to Alfred Philippe, Trifari's designer from 1930-1968, who was already famous for developing an invisible stone setting for Van Cleef & Arpels. Note that this piece is not signed, but this design was patented by Trifari in 1948 (US DES. PAT. NO. 137542). Signed STERLING to indicate the metal is pure Sterling Silver. In the back, it has both a pin to be worn as a brooch, and a bale to be worn on a chain as a pendant. A chain can be added on if you would like. Measures 1 5/8" x 1.5".

Great vintage condition, with some natural patina to the silver, which can be polished if you prefer. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
