This choker is so regal — it recalls the choker necklaces popular during the Regency, era (Bridgerton vibes!). This piece was made in the 1950s and features individually prong-set stones, with a scalloped design, similar to the festoon necklaces of the 19th Century. Its metal has taken on a darker tone, which also darkens back to the blackened silver used during the Georgian and Victorian eras— it was intentionally darkened so as to make the stones shine brighter by candlelight.
