Vintage 1950s New Look Style Shirtdress
Vintage 1950s New Look Style Shirtdress
This classic 1950s shirtdress is a much welcome fresh breath of feminine style. The dress is a great example of Dior's "New Look," which was ushered into fashion in 1947, and really went on to define the 1950s. The fitted bodice has a defined waist, giving way to a full circle skirt. The bateau neckline is so elegant, and the shoulders and bracelet-length sleeves are relaxed in balance with the fitted bodice. There are buttons all the way down, with a hidden hook right at the waistline, which is perfect for wearing with a belt as shown. Fiber contents are not listed but it is a cotton or cotton-blend with a linen hand-feel, having a slub-texture to it. The Vintage Polo Ralph Lauren Leather Belt pictured is also available.
Great vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
