Vintage 1950s Pleat Release Taffeta Fit and Flare Dress with Ribbon Belt

This vintage 1950s fit and flare dress is so dreamy and classic. It's crafted of the most gorgeous burgundy taffeta, which has an iridescence that catches the light and shines like jewelry. It has a fitted bodice, with pleats from the waist to hips that release to form a full skirt. It's such a clever design and very well crafted. There is a built-in tulle petticoat that adds to the fullness, and creates a flattering hourglass shape. I love the pleated bodice— it really molds to the figure. The velvet ribbon belt ties in a bow in the back, and the dress could also be worn without it. Closes with a side zipper.

Measurements: This will best fit a size X-Small and Small. Note the side zipper closure.
