Vintage 1950s Polka Dot Bow Back Wiggle Dress, Deadstock
Vintage 1950s Polka Dot Bow Back Wiggle Dress, Deadstock
This vintage 1950s wiggle dress is a study in ladylike glamour. Circa late 1950s, this is the divinely feminine wiggle dress silhouette that defined the 50s going into the early 1960s, and it's my absolute favorite shape to wear. In immaculate deadstock vintage condition, there is so much to love here: for one the bow detail in the back, with the exaggerated diamanté buckle. I also adore the high bateau neck (always so flattering) and the draped cowl back, showing just an extra hint of skin. The bodice is fully lined, which adds structure to hug the body in, and makes it more friendly to wear without a bra. I am obsessed the length: this is hitting at a lower, mid-calf length— it looks so much more sophisticated and expensive than hitting even a few inches shorter. (Of course, if you are on the petite side, it would be very easy to hem.) Note the peplum detail in the front, which creates that really flattering hourglass silhouette. Closes with a side zipper.
Great deadstock vintage condition/never worn. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
