This vintage 1950s circle skirt features a whopping 12 individual panels to create an extremely full skirt, with an almost geometric volume to it. I love the fabric, which features a floral pattern that pops against a black background. The skirt is lined in pellon, to make the fabric more stiff and achieved the desired shape. You can also wear it with a crinoline petticoat layered underneath, as they did in the 1950s. (In some images it was shot with a petticoat and some without.) This piece is very seasonless— it looks great with sandals and a tiny top in the summer, but will also look great with sweaters, knit stockings, and boots in the cooler weather.
Measurements: This will work best for a size X-Small or Small as it is now; it would actually be quite easy to make the waistband larger to fit a larger size.
