Vintage 1950s Vanity Fair Ivory Lace Peignoir Set
Vintage 1950s Vanity Fair Ivory Lace Peignoir Set
This vintage 1950s Vanity Fair ivory lace peignoir set is an absolutely ICONIC style from the prolific maker of luxury vintage lingerie. This makes such a perfect ensemble for a bride to wear while getting ready on her wedding morning (Something Old!) but is also something that will be worn for years to come. The satin ribbon at the négligée's waist gives way to a belt ribbon tie in the back. The straps are all sheer lace, with intricate romantic lace at the open neckline, allowing the skin to peek through. The peignoir has lace puffed sleeves, created by gathering and hidden elastic. It closes at the neckline with three small buttons, but is otherwise open throughout, creating a dramatic billowing effect with the layers of chiffon— it has two layers, so it's not completely sheer but also not opaque.
Great vintage condition— it's very difficult to find these 1950s ivory lingerie pieces in such great condition. There is a teeny tiny pick in the belt but it is absolutely not noticeable unless on close inspection.
