This incredible 1950s black velvet dress features the most unusual bow details throughout the skirt— I've never seen anything quite like it! The oversized bows are positioned vertically, defining the entire design. The velvet bodice is fitted, with a separate satin-like panel below the waist creating almost a drop-waist silhouette, with a full skirt— combined with the wide V-neck and half-length sleeves, it all feels very much in the style of Christian Dior's "New Look," complete with sloped, dropped shoulders. It closes with a side zipper.
