Vintage 1960s Empire Waist Ivory Lace Column Dress
Vintage 1960s Empire Waist Ivory Lace Column Dress
This vintage empire waist ivory lace column dress is such a sweet option for a bridal event, but is really wearable for any occasion. Made in the 1960s, the bateau neckline is very flattering, and it dips lower in the back for an elegant look. This is definitely a make-an-exit dress, as there are so many special details on the back, including a bow at the waistband, and a pleated chiffon panel, which forms a Watteau-style back— it creates the regal feeling of a train, without the added length. Note the scalloped edges where the lace meets the chiffon. The dress is fully lined, and closes in the back with a hidden zipper.
The Vintage Blue Enamel Bow Earrings pictured are also available.
Great vintage condition. Note that the waistband naturally puckers a bit, but it's just the way the satin lays and part of the design, as it is intentionally not tacked down at the bottom, for a three-dimensional look.
