Vintage 1960s Floral Print Dress with Flounce Square Neckline

This vintage dress has the most amazing block-print style floral print, that is absolutely eyecatching and entirely unique. I love that it can be dressed up for evening, but could also be dressed down and worn somewhat more casually/during the daytime. It was custom-made in the late 1960s for a socialite of European nobility, who was prominent in both New York and European circles, and had an important collection of fashion and jewelry; the dress is completely one-of-a-kind, and complete with many hand-finished details, like a true work of couture. The fabric is a lightweight silk/wool blend, with an amazing handfeel. With a waist seam at the underbust, the waist is fitted through the natural waist with shaping seams, giving that hourglass "snatched" look. The shape of the square neckline is so flattering, showing a bit of décolletage in an otherwise-covered look. It has a flounce that frames the face beautifully. The sleeves are a bit billowy, and taper at the cuff, with a flounce detail. There is excess fabric ABOVE the flounce to easily let the length out if needed, without losing the flounce/ruffle... so thoughtfully designed! This dress is bra-friendly; it has "bra-holder" straps at the shoulder, which snap to hold a bra strap in place, so that it's not slipping out/becoming visible at the neckline. This is just one of many thoughtful construction elements that make this dress so luxurious and special— there are also protectors at the underarm's interior to prevent discoloration from perspiration. It closes with a zipper down the back.

Measurements: Note that there is excess fabric inside the dress that make it very easy to let out and make larger. Likewise, it could be very easily taken in using these same existing seams. As-is, it will fit up to a size Medium, though it could be let out to fit up to a size Large or possibly larger; please refer to below measurements to be sure. It is shown clipped on a size X-Small to simulate proper fit.

Shoulders: 14.75" between shoulder seams laid flat
Chest: 35" laid flat, up to 39.5" considering all the gathering at the chest (this is designed to be worn with a bra, can also be taken in easily)
Empire waist/Underbust:  30" laid flat, up to 31" pulled taut
Waist: 27" laid flat, up to 28" pulled taut
Length: 46.75" (*There is excess fabric ABOVE the flounce to easily let the length out if needed, without losing the ruffle)

Great vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age. There is a small spot on one arm that is very much not noticeable when worn due to placement— the dress presents flawlessly.
