This vintage 1960s set is so groovy-feeling, consisting of a skirt and cropped bubble top. Though they are an original set, I love that the two pieces aren't totally "matchy," and can easily be mixed separately, giving you so many different looks. The top is a bubble top, with covered elastic at the waistband creating this shape; you can either pull it lower, or hike it up to exaggerate the bubble shape (the elastic will sit wherever you put it). The top has a faux-dupioni textured mimicking raw silk, and I love that the constasting goldenrod-yellow lining can peek out— so thoughtfully designed! The A-line skirt has a deep pleat in the front. This set was made by "Geno of California, designs by Erni," a California-based label that was only active for a few years in the mid-1960s, so it's very rare to come across pieces they made. The top has button closures at the shoulder, and the skirt has a back-zip closure.
Measurements: Note that it's possible to let the skirt out to fit a larger size, and the top has more flexibility in sizing. As it is now, it will best fit a size X-Small.
Top:
Chest: 37" laid flat (meant to be puffy)
Waist: elastic stretches from 21" to 34"
Length: about 15" laid flat (will be shorter if you wear the elastic up higher)
Bottoms:
Waist: 24.5" (possible to let out, can even move the button at the waistband very easily for more room)
Hips: up to 40"
Length: 40.5 (2" in hem)
Great vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
