Circa late 1960s, this vintage maxidress features the most beautiful Pucci inspired print, with elements of paisley and mosaic-like colorblocking— it feels straight out of a scene Slim Aarons would have photographed in 1960s Italy. The jersey fabric is super comfortable, with a natural stretch— it screams summer vacation, but this will look equally amazing layered with knits and boots in cooler weather. The waist is curved to sit at an empire waist height under the chest, but extends to the natural waist on the sides, giving the best of both worlds— the free flowing feeling of an empire waist, but with more flattering shape. This curved seam also creates incredible fullness in the skirt, which has great movement, and reveals different parts of the print as you move. Pleating from the shoulder creates shape in the chest. The bodice is lined; the strap width makes it super bra-friendly! Because of the shape, this would also work well as a maternity dress— one that will be enjoyed postpartum as well! Closes with a zipper down the back.
