Vintage 1960s Persian Lamb Cropped Coat with Mink Collar
Vintage 1960s Persian Lamb Cropped Coat with Mink Collar
This vintage 1960s Persian lamb cropped coat is such a versitile, chic piece of outerwear. Persian lamb is such a coveted outerwear material, known for its very silky, tightly curled glossy fur, and it's harder to find quality coats in this material compared to other vintage furs. I cannot emphasize how SOFT and warm it is! In sleek black, the mink fur collar offers a contrasting texture to the curly black lamb seen elsewhere. The shape is classic 1960s, with dropped shoulders and dropped armholes creating a intentionally somewhat-boxy shape— this also means it will work well on a range of sizes. The sleeves are slightly cropped to balance these proportions. Note the amazing pop of green silk on the interior! One thing that I adore about vintage coats is all the care that was put into every detail, extending all the way to the coat's lining, complete with lush silk fabrics, pops of color, and hand-embroidery. The custom embellished buttons really add to the luxe effect. There are small pockets at either side bottom, and a ribbon trim at the neckline that matches the fur's texture.
The Vintage 1930s Bias-Cut Velvet Dress pictured is also available.
Measurements: Will fit a range of sizes depending on desired fit; likely from X-Small to Medium/Large, but please refer to below measurements to be sure and keep in mind layering.
Shoulders: about 15.5"
Chest: 42"
Waist/Sweep: 42" (essentially a straight cut from armpit to hem)
Length: about 22" from shoulder to hem
Sleeves: just shy of 21.5"
Great vintage condition. At the cuffs, there is some very slight cracking to the fur, but it's very minor and not noticeable when worn. The fur overall is in very good shape and presents beautifully.
