This vintage 1970s black tartan pinafore maxidress is a super versatile layering piece. It's strapless, and love it layered over a turtleneck or bodysuit in the colder months, or worn with nothing under in the summer. It's so easy to dress up or down for day or night— this is a very timeless (and seasonless) dress that could be worn at any time of year, for years to come. It features an empire waist, with a belt that ties in the back, and cinches the waist. The square neckline gives way to straps that cross in the back. There is "horsehair" mesh in the hem to give structure to the skirt.
Measurements: Best fits a size X-Small and Small but please refer to below note and measurements to be sure.
NOTE: Right now the straps are stitched down in the back; there is a lot of extra strap to let them out/make longer, but you could also add hidden fastening, which would make it really easy to get in and out of with the cross back (As it is, it's fine, you just have to slip it on overhead.)
