Vintage 1970s Floral Skirt Set | XS-M
Vintage 1970s Floral Skirt Set | XS-M
This sweet set was made in Colorado in the 1970s, and is inspired by traditional Western square dancing attire, which would consist of a blouse with full sleeves, and a very full skirt— in traditional square dancing, you would often wear crinoline underneath to accentuate the fullness of the skirt with your movement. I'm obsessed with the way this skirt moves! Because of the all-over floral pattern, it's easy to mistake this for a dress, but it's separate pieces, which means there are so many different ways to wear it. The skirt sits on the waist and features gathered tiers with flounce details; it closes with a side zipper and buttons. The top has puffed sleeves, and an un-fitted bodice, creating some feminine volume when it's worn tucked in.
