Vintage 1970s Plissé Dress with Lace Trim

This vintage 1970s plissé dress features delicate lace trim. I love the way that the plissé stretches to skim the curves, and the lace trim flares out to create an almost bell shape. The navy blue color is a welcome departure from the typical little black dress. I also love that it is lined in a light flesh-toned fabric, which really allows the details and construction to stand out in a way that matching tonal lining would not. This would also make a great maternity dress because of the way the fabric stretches– one that will be worn after pregnancy, as well! It is super versatile— it looks great worn with tights, dressed up or down, and with any color—I love the navy with black accessories!

Measurements: The original darts and seams in the lining were let out; they could easily be put back in following the same seams, and that would make the lining hug the body more. As it is, it will fit a wide range of sizes, as the pleating naturally stretches a good deal– likely an X-Small, Small, and Medium (possibly Large depending on exact measurements) but please refer to below measurements to be sure. This would also make a great maternity dress because of the way the fabric stretches.

Waist: up to 37.5"
Hips: up to 41"
