This vintage 1970s Zandra Rhodes silk blouse is a wearable example of the British designer’s iconic work. Dubbed the “Princess of Punk" by the fashion press, Rhodes opened her own shop in London in 1969 and was known for her avant-garde style and work with exceptional fine textiles, paving the way for a new wave of envelope-pushing British designers, like Vivienne Westwood. This blouse is crafted of 100% silk, with subtle stripes, including metallic-flecked gold bits. This is such a versatile and wearable piece: it looks amazing both tucked up and untucked, and with the button closure at the keyhole neckline, it can be worn fastened at the neck, or buttoned, creating more a split neckline. It has a slightly dropped shoulder, creating blousy fullness through the bodice and sleeves, which taper at the cuffs to balance the look.
Measurements: This will fit a range of sizes due to the relaxed fit, likely an X-Small, Small, Medium, possibly Large, but please refer to below measurements to be sure.
