The evil eye is one of the most iconic charms in the history of jewelry. Belief in the power of this amulet, a "mati" as it's called in Greek, dates to antiquity, at least the 6^th century B.C. when it appeared on drinking vessels. The evil eye, literally, is a gaze that stems from envy or dislike, and brings that brings bad luck for the person at whom it is directed. The evil eye symbol is referred to as such because it protects the beholder from the effects of that evil gaze. This one is made to offer a lifetime of protection, crafted from solid 8k gold, with a gorgeous glass stone, to look like an eye. It's bail is large enough to accomodate pretty much any chain or cord, but you can also purchase an available chain; note that it is not the exact one pictured. The charm measures about .75" in diameter, with a bail 3/16" long.  The pictured Small and Large Seashell Pendants, Rope Bracelet, Cornicello Horn Pendant, and Heart Hoop Earrings are also available.
