Made in the 90s, this vintage Valentino is crafted from superfine lightweight wool with a beautiful stretch, and silk-trim. The top has an attached-belted waist, with an oversized tortoiseshell buckle. There is a misconception that wool is hot/for cold weather only, but since it is a natural fiber, it is extremely breathable, and certain types of wool like this can be great for warmer weather. It also is unlined to maintain that breathability and lightweight feel. Though they almost give the look of a dress when worn together, I love that these pieces can be mixed and worn separately as well, giving so many styling possibilities in one set. (Imagine the top with jeans! So chic!) The top has light shoulder pads, with the cinched belted waist, silk trim at the sleeves, and a hidden zipper down the back. The skirt features slits up both sides for ease of movement, and closes with a side zipper. It could also be hemmed shorter if you wish! Made in Italy of 100% wool with 100% silk details.
