This stunning vintage wedding gown features a satin insets and embroidery on the sheer tulle parts, both at the sheer neckline and towards the hem. The insets on the sheer tulle give a beautiful illusion. The fitted bodice is marked by a high mandarin collar and slight basque-waist shape, accentuating by piping at the waistline. It has voluminous sheer 3/4 length sleeves, with silk organza bows at the elbow— I love the way this element creates an enchanting movement, becoming a part of your every motion. Volume at shoulder supported by little ruffle layer underneath. The tulle skirt is backed by a rich satin lining, with a luxurious handfeel. Godets flare out towards the skirt's hem, creating beautiful volume and a shape with mermaid vibes. From the silhouette, to the pearl details and wave-shaped insets, I love these subtle mermaid motifs throughout.
This gown offers so much flexibility, as the entire ruffled train is detachable, and can seamlessly be worn with or without— it easily fastens with secure hidden snaps, making it easy to change looks in a few moments. The train features tiers of bias-cut chiffon, which create the most delicious ruffles. Without the train, the hem has a U shape in the back (longer on sides and shorter in front and back), making it very easy to move (and dance!) in. The edges of the dress (without the train) have beautiful scalloped details, so it looks very "complete" and intentional even without the train. This dress was originally made in the 1980s and has been lovingly restored and altered by me and my seamstress. It has a hidden zip closure from the hips to the waist, and then fastens with gorgeous pearl buttons up to the neck.

Great vintage condition, with minor general wear commensurate with age, including one tiny spot of discoloration at back which is mostly hidden by buttons, as well as some very minor wear to fabric, which is not noticeable when worn and does not detract from the overall beauty of the dress, which presents beautifully.
