Vintage Chanel Fall 1997 Runway Embroidered Bouclé Jacket

This vintage Chanel Fall 1997 jacket is such an classic Chanel jacket to collect. It is from the iconic Fall/Winter 1997 "Coco Goes to Moscow" folkloric collection. This specific jacket was featured very prominently in the campaign for this season, show on Karl Lagerfeld muse, the one-and-only Karen Elson. It is such a gorgeous yet wearable piece, in deep French blue wool bouclé, with a collar neckline and embroidery down the front in contrasting primary colors. Note the red detail stitching topstitching throughout. The zipper closure makes it feel modern. It's gorgeously tailored with a fitted shape, with a defined waist and light shoulder pads creating an hourglass shape, without being overly restrictive The way the zipper only starts at the high-hip area, creates an almost slight peplum look below the waist. There are slit pockets on either side. It works well worn on its own and fully closed, or layered over something and worn open. It's lined in soft silk, and features signature chainlink detail on the interior hem. There is a CC logo appliqué on one cuff. (It is intentional that it's only on one.)

Measurements: Marked a size 38. Measurements are taking laid flat with jacket fully zipped closed. Depending on desired fit, this will work for a modern size X-Small, Small, and Medium, but please refer to below measurements. 

Shoulders: 18" from outsides of shoulder pads

Chest: 36"

Waist: 30"

Sweep at hem: 41" laid flat (there is no closure there as the zipper starts higher)

Sleeves: 23"

Length: 24" from shoulder to hem
