cloison (meaning"to separate") in this process fine metals are soldered to create an outline of the desired pattern. These compartments are filled with different colors of opaque enamel, and the metallic outline emphasizes the intricacy of the design. The pendant sits on a delicate link chain but could also be worn on another chain. The heart measures about 4 cm long x 4 cm at widest point, and the chain measures 16", with an adjustable length.
