This vintage 90s Donna Karan velvet dress features amazing and unusual construction, as is typical of Donna Karan’s designs– the queen of masterful draping. The bodice is actually part of an attached bodysuit, which is then covered by a wrap skirt, which snaps and hooks in multiple places to create a sarong-like knot at the waist— it almost gives the impressive of a skirt and top, but it’s all connected in one piece It’s construction of rich silk velvet in a gorgeous burgundy hue, and lined in 100% silk. there are delicate hooks and eyes all down the front– it can be fully closed or worn with some undone, creating a deep V neck. This can easily be dressed down for day or dressed up for a more evening/cocktail look. So versatile and chic!
