Circa late 1950s/early 1960s, this coat is crafted of curly bouclé wool, almost calling to mind sheepskin, and finished with a Persian lamb collar. The shades of brown are really rich and warm, pairing well with anything you could imagine. It has a double-breasted closure with very cool buttons, but I love that it looks amazing worn opened/unfastened as well—it kind of plays up the intentionally oversized fit, almost like a swing coat. The cropped sleeve with raglan-cut shoulder rounds out the look. It's lined in soft silk, with hand-finished details. I particularly love the fabric overlay on the upper back, which emulates the "storm shield" on a trench coat, with a shape that almost feels western-inspired.
Measurements: Note that this will fit a range of sizes depending on desired fit— it is not very fitted. It is, however, structured/fitted through the shoulders, which keeps it from feeling TOO oversized/overwhelming on a smaller frame. Will likely fit a size X-Small, Small, Medium, possibly Large— please refer to below measurements to be sure. Shown on a size X-Small.
Shoulders: 14" (there is some flexibility thanks to the cut of the shoulders)
Chest: 48"
Length: 39" from shoulder to hem
Sleeves: 20"
Great vintage condition, with minor wear commensurate with age. With any questions about the specific condition or size, please email shop@verybreezy.com for additional photos or measurements, as all sales are final.
