Vintage Emerald Green Taffeta Folk Blouse

This emerald taffeta blouse is hails from the Lowicz region of of Poland; made in the second half of the 20th century, it is a relatively more modern interpretation of traditional folk dress going back centuries. It is made by hand and completely one-of-a-kind. The pleated ruffle at the bottom edge is characteristic of this style— and it's so darling! It features gorgeous diamond-pleating above the chest and at the sleeves. The chest area is gathered, becoming fitted at the waist, and flares out into the pleated ruffle hem. Closes down the front with hidden snaps, and finished with a collar, and French cuffs that have hidden snap closures.
