Vintage Hand-Dyed Bias-Cut Silk Chiffon Dress
Vintage Hand-Dyed Bias-Cut Silk Chiffon Dress
This gorgeous bias-cut silk chiffon dress is hand-dyed in shades of blue and purple for a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind ombré effect. The cut of the dress is so reminiscent of the iconic pieces John Galliano did at Dior in the late 1990s, which referenced the styles of the 1930s. From the drape-y bias cut, to the artfully draped surplice neckline, this dress nails the look. The dress is fully lined. It would be so easy to dress this up or down depending on how you style it!
Measurements: Please note that this will fit a range of sizes well, as the bias-cut naturally stretches AND shrinks with the curves of the body. Also, the surplice neckline adds further flexibility in the bodice. The bias cut gives a lot of flexibility in sizing; shown unclipped on a size X-Small. Will likely fit up to a size Medium but please refer to below measurements to be sure.
Chest: 37" laid flat up to 40"+ stretched (shown on a chest much smaller and it still works well, just to give you an idea of what the bias cut and draping will do...)
Waist: 30" laid flat (up to 32")
Hips are free
Length: 44" from shoulder to hem (*would be easy to shorten shoulder straps if needed)
