These vintage Pierre Balmain tassel earrings feature a large quilted-surface gold head with a tassel of gold chains, suspended from a finial with a row of crystals, and a black enamel stripe emblazoned with "PIERRE BALMAIN PARIS." They are a rare collector's item. The tassel has such great movement, but despite their statement-making size and all that movement, they are surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear— vintage clip-ons are so much more comfortable and secure to wear compared to their modern counterparts, largely due to the quality and thought that went into their hand-made construction. They have a clip-on lever back, and measure 11.2 cm in length.
