Vintage Silk Taffeta Long Sleeve Party Dress

This vintage silk taffeta long sleeve party dress was made in the 1980s, borrowed design elements and silhouettes of the 1950s. I love the rainbow striped taffeta— it's 100% silk and looks so rich in person. The construction of this piece is truly remarkable— it is unlabeled but it was certainly made by a luxury brand. It's fitted in the bodice, with a V neck and flounce collar, with a full skirt— at the hem, the skirt almost takes on a slight bubble shape, thanks to how it's gathered up into the interior lining. The self belt tie emphasizes the flattering hourglass shape. The sleeves are puffed at the shoulder and taper towards the cuff. Thoughtfully constructed down to the last detail, it closes with a zipper down the back, and tiny hidden hooks and eyes hold the flounce collar in place in the back.

Measurements: This will fit up to a size Medium, Large, X-Large, but please refer to below measurements to be sure. It was shot pinned on a size X-Small to simulate proper fit.

Great vintage condition. There is a teeny, tiny blemish to the fabric in one spot, but it completely gets lost in the fabric and is absolutely not visible when worn.
