This vintage sterling silver bird choker is actually a powerful talisman. It was hand-strung in the southwest US, by a local craftsman. Across the cultures of persons indigenous to this area, birds are powerful talismans, believed to carry prayers into the sky, and thought to bring blessings. The choker's long silver bars are punctuated by turquoise colored beads. Secures with a C-ring clasp, and measures just shy of 15".
