This vintage sterling silver frog pendant is a powerful talisman: across many cultures, frogs have been symbols of good luck for millennia. In traditional Chinese culture, the frog is associated with the lunar yin, and is thought to bring healing, as well as good fortune in business. Further, in Feng Shui, a frog is one of the most powerful objects for attracting prosperity and is believed to protect against misfortunes— they are referred to as "Money Frogs." Similarly, in Spain, frogs are considered very lucky, and in Japanese culture, they are associated with fertility and good fortune. This wonderfully ornate frog is crafted from solid sterling silver, and features beautifully ornate etching, with cut-outs and sculptural details contributing to a lifelike yet whimsical depiction. It is hollow in the interior, eliminating any excess density and weight when worn. The bale is a nice size, making it possible to wear with most chains; the pendant is sold individually but a chain can also be added if you'd like one. The total length is 27 mm; the frog itself measures about 2 cm long x 2 cm at widest point. It is hallmarked "925" for sterling silver.
