This vintage Thierry Mugler jacket is from his Spring 1994 collection entitled "Longchamps." Pieces from the collection are universally considered museum-worthy, with some pieces from the collection residing in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This collection was defined by pieces with unusual jagged edges, like puzzle pieces or cut glass, and this jacket embodies that idea, with the contrasting white lapel that is asymmetrically cut to look like a piece of sculpture. The most amazing part of this piece is that the collar attaches with hidden snaps, and is completely removable, providing two entirely distinct looks inn one piece— the ultimate investment! The silhouette forms a flattering hourglass shape, nipped at the waist, and opening in an exaggerated bell over the hips almost like a peplum. The lines and construction are just unbelievable, and it looks so amazing on the body! Crafted of 100% wool, closes with 4 snaps at the waist. (Please note there is not a skirt or bottoms included.)
