This Vintage Thierry Mugler Spring 2000 jacket has the most exquisite lucite buckle detail, which is a work of art in and of itself— a classic example of Mugler's work. This collection had a very futuristic vibe which is echoed in this piece. Shaping seams throughout create a really sleek, elongated silhouette, with sloped shoulders. A nipped waist is a Thierry Mugler signature and this jacket is no exception. The lucite detail is set with crystals, whose sparkle play off the lucite's shine. Hidden snap closures live under the ornament. There are pockets built into the seams— it is so beautifully constructed! I love this piece because there are so many ways to style it, whether you wear it with a simple black skirt like a suit, or mix it up with more contrasting statement pieces, including pants or jeans. On the runway it was actually shown with a more gauzy chiffon skirt which I love! The fabric/care label is worn but it is wool or wool blend.
