Vintage Valditevere Firenze Baroque Shell Print Pareo/Scarf
Vintage Valditevere Firenze Baroque Shell Print Pareo/Scarf
This vintage Valditevere Firenze scarf/pareo features the most magnificent baroque shell print— it's so 90s Versace, with a mermaid Barbie feeling. Valditevere has such a rich an beautiful brand legacy. It was founded in Florence in 1951 by three ladies of the aristocracy, and quickly became the brand that the Florentine high society favored. What began as precious hand-woven furnishing fabrics evolved into a couture fashion house, with the commonality always being exceptional fabrics. Marquis Emilio Pucci was a great fan and supporter of Valditevere, and encouraged them to play with vibrant, bold prints. The colors of this piece are just divine, and it's made of 100% cotton voile, which I much prefer in pareos to synthetics. It can easily be worn as a scarf, and there are so many different ways to tie it/style it. It was made in Italy, and originally purchased from a boutique in St. Barts. Measures 43.25x51.5".
