This Yves Saint Laurent dress hails from the Resort 2010 collection, when Stefano Pilati was at the brand's helm. It's defined by an inventive Grecian-inspired draped silhouette, with batwing sleeves and a cold shoulder. This dress is classic Stefano Pilati, who was such a master when it comes to draping and playing with proportions. (I miss this era of YSL!) This dress has such a innovative configuration, with a batwing sleeve that's overlapped by a draped cold shoulder; the sleeves the same piece as the body of the dress, with no defined armhole— this flowy silhouette makes it unbelievably comfortable to wear, and it also means that it will fit a wide range of sizes. It is a stretch jersey material that does have a sheen to it; all of the pleating at the neckline and draping really emphasize the rich fabric. NOTE: You can also take your arms fully out of the "cold shoulder" opening (as though it were the arm hole) and wear it sleeveless, as shown in some images here. It really gives you two completely different looks in one dress!

Measurements: Note that because of its unique construction, this will fit a very wide range of sizes; it's shown unpinned on a size X-Small and is it a bit extra-oversized but absolutely works, and it should fit up to about a size Large. So in summary it shoulder fit a size X-Small-Large, but please refer to below measurements to be sure. (Marked a French size 42. It's difficult to measure because there are no seams. Note the fabric stretches.)
