Vintage 1960s Black Lace Cocktail Dress, Attributed to Givenchy
Vintage 1960s Black Lace Cocktail Dress, Attributed to Givenchy
What a fun yet classic vintage cocktail dress, dating to the 1960s! Though it is missing it's label, this dress is attributed to Givenchy; there are images of this exact dress with Givenchy labels dating to this era. It does have a Lord & Taylor label (the department store where it was sold) so likely the Givenchy tag was removed along the way, or it's possible Givenchy licensed their exact design to Lord & Taylor, which was common during this era. This sweet little dress features a lace overlay on an ochre background, with a fitted bodice and full skirt. I love the delicate scalloped lace peeking out at the hem, and the ruffle at the neckline. It closes with a hidden zipper in the front, and the depth of the V-neckline is adjustable. This is a true timeless wardrobe staple that will stay in your closet forever.
The Vintage 1940s Crystal Waterfall Earrings pictured are also available.
Great vintage condition, with some minor wear to the fabric commensurate with age. The dress originally had lace sleeves which have since been removed.
