Vintage 1960s Yellow Tulle Rosette Gown
Vintage 1960s Yellow Tulle Rosette Gown
This stunning vintage gown has all the charms you could ask for— it reminds me of something Elizabeth Taylor would have worn. It was made in the early 1960s it is the most beautiful daffodil-yellow hue, with gathered tulle at the bodice creating a very elegant midcentury cap-sleeve shape. Cups are built into the bodice interior. A defined yoke waistline begins directly under the bust at an empire waist, and extends to the natural waistline, with an inverted triangle shapes creating a very flattering hourglass trompe-l'œil. A beautiful rosette detail puncuates the center. That same sheer, diaphanous fabric that defines the neckline extends from the center waist all the way to the hem, like a free-flowing sash, adding a movement to the A-line skirt. Made in the USA, the dress is lined, and closes when a hidden back zipper, complete with thoughtfully placed hooks to prevent gaping.
