These vintage half hoop earrings feature four oval-cut crystals, unusually set horizontally. They're flanked with tiny black stones on either side, and bezel-set with matte gold— this motif reminds me of a crown. These earrings are not signed by Givenchy made a pair that was very similar. They are finished with a clip-on lever back; vintage clip-ons are so much more comfortable and secure to wear compared to their modern counterparts, largely due to the quality and thought that went into their hand-made construction. Measures 23 mm long x 14 mm at widest point.
What's amazing about this pair is that they can be worn on the earlobe, or higher on the cartilage, and are thus great for layering with other earrings, as shown. The Vintage 1960s Crystal-Set Pavé Bombe Earrings pictured are also available.
